Welcome to EventPix!

A quick guide to get you started.

🤵 For the Host

Fill in Details: Enter an "Event Name" and an optional "Welcome Message".
Create Event: Click the "Create Event" button.
Admin Sharing: Only the designated admin can copy/share the guest URL or QR code after entering the admin password.
Admin Dashboard: The admin can view/reset the event PIN, set or extend a 24-hour PIN expiry for existing events, and copy the refreshed guest link.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 For Guests

Open Link: Tap the link or scan the QR code from the host.
Accept Invite: You'll see the event name and a welcome message. Tap "Accept & Join".
Enter PIN: Enter the 4-digit PIN shared by the host.
Guest Log: First-time guests leave a message to enter. Returning guests with the same name can continue without writing another message.
View & Participate: Guests can view the gallery, upload photos, share video links, leave messages, view contributors, start slideshow, and vote for liked photos.
Download: Photo downloads remain restricted and require admin permission.

📸 Photos are automatically compressed before uploading for faster sharing.

Reset PIN

Generates a new 4-digit PIN and refreshes the guest link/QR. Share the updated link with guests.

Existing PIN Expiry

Use this for events created before the 24-hour expiry option was added. It keeps the current PIN but makes the refreshed guest link expire after 24 hours.

Set a new 24-hour window and share the refreshed link with guests.
